Dr. Christina Mercurio has been making children’s smiles brighter since 1996, when she opened Glen Cove’s first dental practice, exclusively dedicated to children.
Attending New York University College of Dentistry, with a full tuition academic scholarship, she graduated in 1994 with top honors, including, OKU National Dental Honors Society and “Top 10” of her graduating class. Dr. Mercurio completed her Pediatric Dental Certificate, as Chief Resident, from Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Hospital. With previous appointments at Lenox Hill Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, she presently shares her time in private practice and teaching in the Pediatric Dental Department at NYU College of Dentistry.
Dr. Mercurio is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition, she is a published author, a distinguished member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and members of the New York Society of Dentistry for Children, Nassau County Dental Society and American Dental Society; She is CPR certified and compliant with Infection Control Practices, OSHA and HIPAA regulations. She has a strong commitment to community outreach and has done clinical and educational outreach locally and in New York City. Her goal is that all of her patients have a positive, fun and stress-free experience during each dental visit. Always seeking to broaden her knowledge in the dental field and foster shared learning of her specialty, she regularly attends dental study clubs and dental society events.
When not working, Dr. Mercurio is a devoted mother and enjoys exploring life with her three children.
